ISO New England's (ISO NE) Day-Ahead Ancillary Services (DAAS) Initiative went live in March of 2025. DAAS created a new market for on demand generation needed to keep the electricity grid stable and reliable, such as operating reserves. The new market takes the place of some existing ancillary service products and allows these services to be purchased on a day-ahead basis, which is intended to improve operating reserve and imbalance readiness, efficiency, and price formation before the actual operating day begins.
Learn more about DAAS and its impact on electricity users by listening to this short video, featuring Larry Pignataro, Director of Strategic Partnerships & Senior Energy Services Advisor, Competitive Energy Services. Feel free to reach out to Larry or any of our Energy Services Advisors to talk about DAAS or any of your energy-related questions.
