Hello CES Families!

October is National Principal Month! If you see Mrs. Wagnon, make sure to thank her for the amazing job she does for our students here at CES!

This month we will be hosting our 6th Annual Dragon Games! The event is one of our biggest fundraisers. All students participate in an age appropriate athletic adventure through various fun physical challenges building self esteem, character, and school spirit! We invite you to participate in any way you can! Make a monetary "pledge" for your student, encourage friends and family members to make a pledge for your student, volunteer, and come cheer your student on at the games. 

Thank you to the Dragon Dad Club for hosting a successful breakfast last week! Our next Dragon Dad Event will be a Tailgate Party to wrap up Dragon Games on October 21st before the Varsity Dragon Football Game. This is a great opportunity for CES families old and new to connect. Details will be coming soon.

Outreach will start collecting pantry items for the non-profit organization, Grace, starting October 3. Collection bins are located in the lobby near the front office. We thank you for your generosity!

Have you noticed someone who always goes ABOVE and BEYOND to help make CES the best school around? The PTO wants to recognize these AMAZING volunteers. We are looking for individuals, who may or may not be members of the PTO, who go out of their way to help make our school a great place to be. Please take a minute to nominate someone you think deserves some recognition for the PTO Volunteer of the Month.

Club Charlie is a CEF program designed to welcome new families with kindergartners to Carroll ISD. Each Kindergarten family that donates before October 22nd, CEF will award one point to their campus. If a family has already donated this school year either through registration, our website or North Texas Giving Day it will be counted toward their campus participation. If every family in CISD became a Friend of CEF for only $1 a day we could raise $1.7 million and fund 34 teachers for next school year! And, the campus with the highest percentage of participation from Kindergarten classes wins a party with Charlie the Dragon for all Kindergarten students on that campus!

As an added bonus – Everyone who donates $365 or more will be entered into a drawing for their kindergarten student to be Santa's Helper for the City of Southlake Tree Lighting Event!⁠ Last, but not least, families are invited to email a photo of their kindergarten student posing in their Club Charlie t-shirt and with their Class of 2035 yard sign to [email protected] for a chance to be featured during the month of October.
