CESSRST Weekly Announcements is an initiative to keep CESSRST Fellows and Advisors/Mentors up to date on important programmatic deadlines, memos, and opportunities including internships, NERTOs, and NOAA jobs.

2022 NOAA Cooperative Research Programs (CoRP) Science Symposium

• The event will be held from July 25 to 27, 2022 at the Cooperative Institute for Research in the Atmosphere (CIRA) of Colorado State University located in Fort Collins, CO.
• Fellows must submit the travel requisition form and contact CESSRST Budget Office i.e. Claudia Solano Rodriguez at cessrstpayments@ccny.cuny.edu for travel advances.
• Fellows are required to stay in one of the hotels identified by the symposium organizers.
• Fellows who attended the NOAA EPP/MSI 10th Biennial Education and Science forum may re-use their poster/presentation for this event. CESSRST fellows who will be conducting their NERTO internships (virtual/hybrid) in July 2022 are encouraged to participate.

2022 NOAA CESSRST Annual Colloquium

• The event will be held from July 28 to 29, 2022, in Boulder, CO. 
• Fellows must submit the travel requisition form and contact CESSRST Budget Office i.e. Claudia Solano Rodriguez at cessrstpayments@ccny.cuny.edu for travel advances.

Fellows, please be advised that if you are attending the CoRP Science Symposium you must attend the NOAA CESSRST Annual Colloquium as well, as part of your professional development and networking opportunity. 

Please follow these instructions on travel logistics: 

• Fly into Denver, CO - July 24, take an airport shuttle to Fort Collins, CO 
• Stay in the hotel from July 24-27 and check out on July 27
• See CoRP Symposium Agenda and other details here 
• Travel from Fort Collins to Boulder (shuttle service) - July 27
• Check into a hotel (list of hotels near ESRL | Preferred hotel-Millenium Harvest House, Boulder) in Boulder on July 27 and check out on July 29
• Attend the Colloquium in NOAA/OAR/ESRL Lab, David Skaggs Research Center, 325 Broadway, Boulder, CO 80305, on July 28-29 (1.5 days)
• Departure back to your home destinations after 2:00 PM on July 29

2022 Collective Madison Meeting

• The American Meteorological Society (AMS), partnering with NOAA will be hosting the Collective Madison Meeting (CMM) from 8 to 12 August 2022 in Madison, Wisconsin. 
• The CMM is made up of the following Conferences: the 25th Conference on Satellite Meteorology, Oceanography, and Climatology joint with the NOAA Satellite Meeting, the 17th Conference on Polar Meteorology and Oceanography, and the 16th Conference on Cloud Physics/16th Conference on Atmospheric Radiation.
• All attendees must register here to attend the conference. Fellows are encouraged to present (oral and poster) and/or attend the conferences.  
• Travel funds will be available for CESSRST cohort full-time students. Apply for travel requisition by emailing cessrstpayments@ccny.cuny.edu.
