EnviroCert International Inc., (ECI) is excited to announce the release of the Certified Erosion, Sediment and StormWater Inspector (CESSWI) General Principles Review Manual, Version 4.0, dated November 2023. This update is the culmination of several years of work by various councils and committees, and reflects comments from Certified Professionals across the U.S., Malaysia, Mexico, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Central and South America, France, Germany, England, Italy, South Africa, Japan, Philippines, and China.
The CESSWI Inspector Manual provides a general review of principles related to inspection. Concepts include without limitation, soil formation, soil mechanics, climate, hydrology, drainage, principles of erosion and sediment control, as well as principles related to stormwater plans and Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plans (SWPPPs). This manual also provides a detailed review of management practices and guidance for field inspections related to both the public and private sectors as well as best practices for Inspector conduct and associated professional standards.
ECI recognizes the inspection process and standards vary across the U.S. and other countries. This manual provides an international overview of the principles related to Inspection of E&SC in the construction field. This is the most comprehensive Inspection Manual for a Professional Certification on the National and International stage.
