Trauma-Informed Micro-Credentials and CEU's*

Our Trauma-Informed training series continues this fall. Each training series costs $350 per participant, and includes an opportunity to apply for the corresponding micro-credential after completion of ALL training hours. Seats available for each training are limited, see the individual micro-credentials for registration details.

Trauma-Responsive Strategies

The Trauma-Responsive Strategies Micro-Credential is a 15-hour interactive training series. Participants are required to attend all 15-hours to be eligible to apply for the micro-credential. This training is designed to provide practical skills and techniques that are supported by neuroscience for staff members working directly with clients/patients who are struggling with trauma-related symptoms

Foundations of Trauma-Informed Care

The Foundations of Trauma-Informed Care Micro-Credential is a 12-hour interactive training series. Participants are required to attend all 12-hours to be eligible to apply for the micro-credential. Content is focused on the application and implementation of the trauma-informed approach and trauma-sensitive practices in individual roles, interactions with coworkers and in the workplace.

Trauma-Informed Supervision

The Trauma-Informed Supervision Micro-Credential is a 12-hour interactive training series. Participants are required to attend all 12-hours to be eligible to apply for the micro-credential. This training is focused on how to be trauma-informed specifically within their supervisory role. The training is appropriate for all types of supervisors (administrative, supportive, clinical) and focuses on ITTIC's trauma-informed supervision framework.

University at Buffalo School of Social Work, Office of Continuing Education is recognized by the New York State Education Department's State Board for Social Work as an approved provider of continuing education.


For participants outside of NYS: 

University at Buffalo School of Social Work, Office of Continuing Education, #1773, is approved to offer social work continuing education by the Association of Social Work Boards (ASWB) Approved Continuing Education (ACE) program. All U.S. states, except New York, and all Canadian provinces recognize ACE continuing education credits for social workers. Even when a social work board accepts courses offering ASWB ACE credit, licensees are responsible for determining whether courses meet the CE requirements in their jurisdictions. Specific questions regarding ACE CE approval should be directed to state and provincial regulatory boards.
