Letter from Michael G. Trotsky, CFA
Incoming Chair, CFA Society Boston's Board of Directors

Greetings!

I am very humbled to have been elected as the incoming Chair of CFA Society Boston’s Board of Directors. It is a real honor and I thank you for the opportunity. I have had the pleasure of serving on the Board for six years and I want to thank my fellow directors for their contributions to CFA Society Boston.

I’d also like to commend Erinn R. King, CFA, Chair of CFA Society Boston's 2018-2019 Board of Directors. She has effectively helped to raise the quality of the Society’s programs and improve our technology platforms. She is an absolute pleasure to work with, is thoughtful, insightful, direct, efficient and productive. She demonstrates great leadership and pure class in everything she does. Congratulations to Erinn on a job very well-done.

As we come to the end of Erinn's term as chair, I am happy to announce an important milestone – our membership has just crested the 6,000-member mark. I’d like to thank Erinn, our staff, and our members and volunteers – they are the advocates of our profession and our Society – and it’s because of you that CFA Society Boston is thriving.

University Outreach — Calling Local Alums
Serve as an Ambassador to your Alma Mater
Did you attend college or graduate school in the Boston area? Would you like to serve as a CFA Society Boston Ambassador to your alma mater? Our University Outreach initiative has been working with local colleges and universities over the past decade in a variety of ways. To broaden our reach, we are looking for members who are alumni of local schools and would be willing to help us promote the investment management profession as ambassadors to their alma maters. This could include student presentations, conversations with students, professor meetings, participation in our local CFA Institute Research Challenge, and other student competitions. To be part of this effort, send an email to Jeanne Wolf, CAE, executive director of CFA Society Boston.
