A MESSAGE FROM THE PRESIDENT
Cape Fear Community College
Dear Sea Devil Community,

Happy New Year! We are so happy to be back in session with our Spring Semester. Faculty, staff, and students have returned with a renewed energy. We are looking forward to the accomplishments this semester will bring.

Speaking of accomplishments, I recently shared a 2022 Year In Review presentation which included a 5-year recap of CFCC's growth. It is very impressive to see how much we have expanded in the past five years. CFCC has added over 20 new curriculum programs, 25 new EWD programs, and over 40 new Law Enforcement courses.

Likewise, the community and student responses to many of these new programs required us to expand enrollment options and sections to accommodate the demand. While the statewide community college enrollment average is down, our efforts to meet employer demands, along with our community supporters, have contributed to CFCC's consistently positive enrollment numbers.

Our Spring Mini-Sessions are open for registration. The first session begins on February 6. Mini-sessions offer a variety of courses and platforms for learning. Students can choose face-to-face, blended, or internet options to best suit their needs. Mini-sessions are a great choice for current students looking to get ahead for the next semester, as well as visiting students wanting to save money on a transferable credit. Classes are filling up, so act now to secure your seat.

As always, thank you for your continued support. I cannot wait to see what our faculty, staff, and students will achieve in 2023.

Sincerely,
Jim Morton, CFCC President
