A MESSAGE FROM THE PRESIDENT
Cape Fear Community College
Dear Sea Devil Community,

Our Spring semester is underway, and I hope everyone has been enjoying this mild, spring-like February weather. Our campuses have been full of activity, and our students are enjoying all the club activities offered this semester.

February has been an exciting and eventful month. We celebrated Black History Month with impactful documentaries, networking sessions, and inspirational speakers. The Humanities Department returned to the Union Station Auditorium to host the 6th Annual International Film Festival. Our SeaDevil Athletics hosted CFCC Spirit Week, which included a door decoration competition and a double-header, men's and women's basketball game against rival Brunswick CC.

The CFCC Foundation hosted an alumni reception during the basketball event. Seeing our alumni from various disciplines gather to support our athletics and our students was wonderful. We are planning future events to continue to keep our alumni active and involved. If you or someone you know is a CFCC graduate, we encourage you to complete your alumni profile so we can keep you updated on future happenings. Once a CFCC SeaDevil, always a CFCC SeaDevil.

It is not too late to enroll for the Spring semester. If you or someone you know missed registration for the full and first mini-session, one more session is still available for the Spring. Our second mini-session begins on March 13. There is still time to secure your spot.

As always, thank you for your continued support.

Sincerely,
Jim Morton, CFCC President

Returning to school seemed like a daunting task for Melissa Russell. Her husband's health scare and becoming a foster parent motivated her to make a career change.
