A MESSAGE FROM THE PRESIDENT
Cape Fear Community College
Greetings from Jim Morton - CFCC President
The fall semester is well underway and you can feel the hustle and bustle around campus as students are fully immersed in their classes and beginning to prepare for the spring semester. It's great to see our advisors working one-on-one with students and going the extra mile to give them the guidance they need.
Each day, we are expanding our reach to prospective students and telling them about the opportunities available at CFCC. We often hear from alumni regarding their success and share these stories on social media, so please follow us (links are in the footer of this email) to hear student stories that will inspire you.
Thanks for reading and thanks for your support of CFCC.

Gene Haas Foundation Supports CFCC With Grant
October 24, 2019
Recently, Bill Cranford, Haas Automation, Inc. sales engineer, presented $16,000 to the Computer Integrated Machining program at CFCC on behalf of the Gene Haas Foundation. The funds received will be used for student scholarships.
“I am always excited to be able to deliver a check from the Gene Haas Foundation. Gene's commitment to the Community College system is unlike any I've experienced in any industry. Our hope at Haas is that by giving back a portion of what our customers spend with us, we will help them grow their business by feeding them experienced and talented machinists and programmers. And if they can graduate with less student debt to worry about we will consider that worth it all.”
~Bill Cranford, Haas Automation
Thank you to the Gene Haas Foundation!

David earned the Certified Clinical Musician certification, accredited by the National Standards Board for Therapeutic Musicians.
Tracy Holbrook (Chemical Technology Program Director) and Matt Groff (Chemical Technology Program Liaison)
