A MESSAGE FROM THE PRESIDENT
Cape Fear Community College
Dear Sea Devil Community,

It's hard to believe that we are more than halfway through the Spring semester. We hope everyone enjoyed their spring break. It is refreshing to have students return to campus with renewed vigor.

CFCC has had an active March, with several noteworthy events taking place. Among them, the North Campus held a career fair for construction industries while CFCC's Advertising & Graphic Design program and the Humanities Department drew an impressive turnout for the 22nd Animation Show of Shows. Our Sea Devils Athletics played host to the Region X Conference Men’s Basketball Tournament in the Schwartz Center of our downtown campus where they emerged as the Region X Conference Champions.

The 2023 Riverfront Boat Show kicks off the new month on April 1 at the Wilmington Campus waterfront. Other upcoming events include various information sessions for our health sciences programs, two Spring Flings, a Game Night, faculty and student recitals, and our Spring Open Houses. You may find all the details here or in the CFCC Happenings links below.

Planning ahead for Summer and Fall registration is always a good idea, no matter how early it may seem. If you or someone you know is interested in taking summer classes, starting their academic journey in the fall, or continuing their education, please encourage them to contact CFCC's Academic Advisors. Appointments are currently open to assist both new and returning students in planning and arranging their preferred courses.

Thank you for your ongoing commitment to our school’s success. We look forward to continuing to work together towards achieving our goals and providing the highest quality education for our students.

Sincerely,
Jim Morton, CFCC President
