A MESSAGE FROM THE PRESIDENT
Cape Fear Community College
Dear Sea Devil Community,

As we embrace the warmth of summer, I wanted to share the exciting developments happening at Cape Fear Community College.

We are thrilled to announce our most recent expansion for our esteemed health science programs - the beginning of our 319 N. 3rd Street building renovation. Since 2020, we have been making strides to expand our health science programs including the Licensed Practical Nursing to Associate Degree Nursing (LPN to ADN) accelerated program and the addition of two spring cohorts for the ADN program. This newest project represents a significant step forward for CFCC and will increase our ability to provide exceptional learning opportunities, instructional space, and resources to our students. We eagerly await the completion of these renovations in order to continue the expansion of our health science programs.

Summer sessions are in full swing. I am delighted to see students taking advantage of these courses to get ahead in their academic journey. In addition, many guest students from universities across the state have chosen to complete a summer class at CFCC, knowing that the knowledge and credits they gain will seamlessly transfer back to their respective universities in the fall. This opportunity allows them to stay connected to their local roots while advancing their education.

CFCC also offers enriching experiences that extend beyond the classroom. Our campuses buzz with excitement throughout the summer months, hosting engaging and fun-filled summer camps for children to explore their interests and forge new friendships. The Wilson Center is preparing for a captivating lineup of world-class entertainers and Broadway productions that promise unforgettable experiences for theater enthusiasts of all ages. For art enthusiasts, the Wilma Daniels Gallery proudly presents the groundbreaking work of acclaimed artist Dorothy Gillespie, showcasing her extraordinary talent and inspiring creativity within our community.

We take pride in providing a diverse range of opportunities that extend beyond traditional education. Our goal is to create a vibrant and dynamic atmosphere where individuals of all backgrounds can find their passion, discover new interests, and invest in lifelong learning. None of this would be possible without your continued support and belief in our mission.

CFCC is not just an educational institution but a hub of transformation, empowerment, and community engagement. Your partnership and support allow us to embrace the spirit of community, innovation, and inclusivity as we forge ahead into a bright future.

Sincerely,
Jim Morton, CFCC President
