Meet Julia, our new CFCE staff person!

My name is Julia Taylor, and I am from Attleboro, MA! I recently graduated from the University of Massachusetts Lowell with a Bachelor's in Psychology, as well as minors in Criminal Justice and Disability Studies! I have years of experience working in childcare at various preschools, as well as nannying for multiple families. You may have seen me helping out at some playgroups over the last month; I am so excited to join the Self-Help CFCE team and continue getting to know all of our families!

It's September lets get together sing and dance to celebrate! Join Ms. Marsha in the community room for 45 minutes of songs, dancing, and movement. We will sing some wonderful songs! We will use props and have an instrument play! This program is for young children and their caregivers.

An Unlikely Story Plainville

Adventures at the Zoo

WW1 Memorial Park and Zoo

Join Ms. Gina and Ms. Marsha for weekly adventure at the World War I Memorial Park and Zoo in North Attleboro. Each week we will have a different learning experience in this special place. This program is suitable for children ages 3 1/2 to 6 and their caregivers. We can't wait to have a wonderful adventure with all of you!


This group meets on:

September 17, 24th October 15th, 22nd, and 29th

No group on October 1st and 8th

Toddler Time Playgroup

Norton Public Library

10:30-11:30

Begins September 16th


Join Ms. Marsha for a three week playgroup at the Norton Public Library. We will have a period of playtime where parents and children can make new friends followed by a brief circle time which includes music and movement. A simple craft will be available for children who are ready. This group is suitable for children ages nine months to three years old and their caregivers. Siblings are always welcome!

Diapers and Wipes available for those who need it.


CFCE has a diaper closet!


As a special service to our families we offer free diapers to those in need. As with everything right now the cost of diapers has skyrocketed and we would like to help those parents who need it. Please contact Gina McGarrigle at gmcgarrigle@selfhelpinc.org. Diapers and wipes can be picked up at programs you attend or at the Brockton office at 45 Pearl St Brockton. If you are in need of diapers please contact Gina at the above email.

WE ARE CURRENTLY HOLDING SPOTS ON OUR WAITLIST FOR NEW FAMILIES!


The Self Help Inc Parent Child Plus program serves families from: *Randolph, Holbrook and Rockland


What is ParentChild+?

  • It provides your child with a free high- quality book or educational toy each week -at least 46 new books and toys!
  • A trained community-based Early Learning Specialist will visit your home twice a week for 30 minutes to help you get your child ready for school.
  • You will learn creative ways to read and play with your child.
  • It helps you prepare your child to be successful in school.
  • This program is for families with a child ages 16 months-3 1/2 years old. Enrollment is a 2 program year commitment.
