On Wednesday, July 26, at 1:15pm, the Chicago Fire Department and Chicago Police Department will conduct a live water rescue demonstration and an active threat response drill on the Chicago River in front of the Hyatt Regency Hotel just west of the Columbus Drive Bridge.
The Chicago Fire Department Air Sea Rescue helicopters, marine units, and Chicago Police Department SWAT, and special functions teams are taking part in the demonstration. Note: simulated gunfire and explosions are part of this demonstration.
