L. Carolyn Dundas Fund in Support of Mental Health

Correction Notice: In our June issue, we misspelled the name of the L. Carolyn Dundas Fund in Support of Mental Health. We sincerely regret this error and apologize for our oversight.

John and Lyn Dundas first met with our team in 2015 to plan a bequest gift. Sadly, Lyn passed in April 2018. In revisiting his financial and estate plans, John decided to establish a legacy fund in his late wife's name, and generously established the L. Carolyn Dundas Fund in Support of Mental Health to help relieve the pain of people suffering from anxiety and depression, with the goal of preventing suicide. As John shared with us, "Although it's a somewhat invisible problem, the anguish suffered by those experiencing mental illness will not go away by itself. I hope this fund will help eliminate the stigma surrounding mental health and enable positive change in our community." John has also thoughtfully made provisions through his estate planning to further grow the fund. We're deeply honoured to be the stewards of this legacy fund in Lyn's memory to help strengthen community well-being.
