If you haven't had the opportunity yet, guest AICPA blogger Jennifer Brenner shares five key lessons she learned that may help you avoid mistakes.
 
Survey: companies that outsource accounting services report higher profits  -  A poll  conducted by Bill.com found that businesses using a CPA firm's client accounting services (such as those provided by our  OASyS practice group ) report higher profits and greater financial insights. Thirty percent of respondents said they felt more prepared to make business decisions, 50% said they were less worried about mistakes, and 80% said they had more time to focus on their business.
 
The real cost of invoicing - Depending on how many invoices an enterprise sends out each month, the cost to process an invoice can really add up. If an organization isn't in the "top performer" range, then knocking even a dollar or two off the cost per invoice can produce substantial savings. CFO.com contributor Perry Wiggins offers some cost-cutting suggestions.

Congratulations to RBF client Gotham Therapeutics, a biotechnology company developing drugs targeting RNA-modifying proteins, for recently securing a $54 million Series A round of financing. Gotham is part of New York's growing biopharma community, and has a subsidiary at one of Europe's leading life science clusters near Munich, Germany...
 
... In September, RBF partnered with Next Level Inc. and The Raffoni Group to host a dozen CEOs for a round-table presentation and discussion at the RBF conference center in Woburn. Group members shared their business challenges and successes in a spirit of mutual problem-solving and peer support. One CEO found that "applying suggestions and general business ideas to my own company, and using other industry practices to look at my situation in a different light" was a particularly valuable takeaway from the session...
