Hello!

I hope all is well with you and your district. We updated the listserv, and I wanted to discuss the following items:

  • In case you missed the CFO/Superintendent correspondence that was originally sent, you can find it here.

  • A few of you have asked for the link to the SOF and the FIRST indicator ZOOM that I referenced in the letter and at the RAC meeting. The 9:00 AM session will focus on the SOF and the 1:00 PM session will focus on the FIRST indicators. The link below will go live on October 2, 2025:
  • The link will be good for both sessions. I will send a reservation link to the course once that process is complete.
  • I will send further information regarding these ZOOM meetings in the coming weeks.

  • We suggest that you review your FINAL PVS. If your final T2 values are higher than your PRELIMINARY T2, then you will see less revenue on your template. Typically, we do not see T2’s that are higher on the FINAL PVS than the Preliminary. However, it has happened for multiple districts this school year in our Region. It is often county specific as we saw first in Cherokee county. You can compare your final and preliminary values here.

  • There have been 4 “Near Final Summary of Finances” (NF SOF) released by TEA in the past couple of days. We suggest logging into your TEAL account and reviewing your NF SOF. Specifically, compare the following with what you expect to receive:
  • FSP monies
  • ASF / Per Capita Monies
  • Other Programs detail report monies (even though this is included in the FSP, you can specifically track some of your elderly / disabled changes here).
  • If you cannot access the information in TEAL, you can find your NF SOF here.

  • Regarding PVS and NV SOF above, I have saw some that have lost money and some that have gained money. I have contacted PTAD to see if there is hope for those of you who have lost money, but the persons on staff today do not have the authority to answer freely currently. That is understandable as there are many moving parts. The best we can do at this point is to find out the impact to your district and prepare for any changes if needed. Even though the NFSOF and the Final PVS values are related to the 24-25 monies, stay as conservative as you can at this time with regards to 25-26 monies.

I appreciate you all much. Have a great day!
