Sisters of St. Joseph Health & Wellness Foundation to host a concentrated,
three-part workshop series focused on burnout prevention -
a timely and productive topic.

Did You Know?
“In large part, the state of the nonprofit sector, particularly in the human services sector, is undercapitalized and overspecialized. Too often, government contracts and philanthropy do not cover the full costs of operations. A bad “solution” to this gap is to overwork, underpay, and under-resource nonprofit staff and leaders to sacrifice their bodies and health to the cause. Many nonprofits, despite all this, manage to consistently exceed expectations. But these successes come at a high price.

Consequently, about 30 percent of nonprofit workers are burned out, with an additional 20 percent in danger of burning out. That’s 50 percent of the nonprofit workforce at the end, or near the end of their tether. That’s half of the humans who drive this nation’s third-largest employment sector not being able to sustain a long-term career without compromising their health, resilience, and security.”

at a few host sites and caught up with a few of our CLIP participants.

CFOV Scholarships Awarded
It's almost time for our area's college students to start making the trek to campus!

Well over 100 students from the Ohio Valley will be supported by scholarships administered through CFOV!

Scholarship is just one way you can support education through philanthropy and we're always happy to share more about how you can make great things
happen for students of all ages!
We STILL Want YOU to Explore Candid!
We LOVE sharing the fantastic resources available through the Candid suite of tools with our area's nonprofits. We really love how so many organizations have been able to
benefit from our gift bag program.

Since announcing the incentives, we've welcomed 21 organizations
to the Elizabeth Stifel Kline Nonprofit Resource Center!

We were soooooo close to reaching our goal of 25 visiting organizations!
We're extending the availability of our special incentives and hope you'll
consider visiting to learn more about the wide world of grants!

CFOV and FDO - a Partnership to Support Your Organization!
We invite you to accept our invitation to explore the resources available through
Foundation Directory Online!

Grant seekers of all experience levels can benefit from this comprehensive service!
Plus, there's no time limit attached to your research when you use CFOV's resource center!

As a member of Candid's Funding Information Network, CFOV can share free public access to
databases and resources designed with grant seekers in mind.

The Foundation Directory Online (FDO) is a GIANT database of funding opportunities.
Thanks to CFOV, this resource was previously available on the campus of Wheeling University
some years ago and under the umbrella of the Foundation Center. 
After some rebranding and fine tuning, the service is now a Candid product.  

Not only is it much more robust, but it is available
in our building and we'd love to see YOU!

CFOV's commitment to area nonprofits is certainly strengthened through this partnership. 
A dedicated space on the second floor of our building serves as a nonprofit resource center
and features workstations connected to the FDO.


When you are ready, reach out to us and make a reservation to use the
dedicated FDO database space on our second floor.
