Generosity of the late James Francis Taylor Means Huge Impact for CFPD's Community Grants Program

The late James Francis Taylor, former resident of Portage la Prairie and Area, and a founding member of CFPD, very generously named The Foundation as a recipient of his estate when he passed away in 2004. After many years in trust, these funds have now made their way to CFPD as Mr. Taylor intended, and we are so very grateful for him choosing to leave a legacy in this way. CFPD received over $327,000 from Mr. Taylor's estate, which will go into our Community Grants Program, increasing the amount of funding available year after year to local organizations and community groups.

CFPD Wishes all a Very Happy New Year!

CFPD Featured Donors

This month, we would like to highlight a donor who was the largest contributor to our 2025 Giving Challenge in November, with a $20,000 donation! Jan Leishman had a few words to say about making this donation (read below). If you would also like to contribute to the Smart & Caring Community Fund (our "general" fund), select it from the drop-down of our Make a Donation page by selecting the "Donate Now" button. All donations stay in our endowment fund forever, with only the interest being disbursed annually to local community organizations in need of funding.

Dr. Mike and Joanne Sullivan are long-term supporters of CFPD, holding a 'Field of Interest' Fund, which directs its earnings to projects and programs that benefit local youth in the area of physical fitness, recreation, and sport. If you would also like to contribute to this Fund, select "Dr. Mike and Joanne Sullivan Family Fund" from the drop-down of our Make a Donation page by selecting the "Donate Now" button.
