DRONE OPERATION & PHOTOGRAMMETRY PROGRAM

LEARN HOW TO FLY DRONES, INTERPRET DATA AND EARN FAA PART 107 CERTIFICATION

Our two weeks Drone and Photogrammetry Field School is now open and accept online applications. The program will take place at the Northern Arizona University Digital Archaeology Laboratory, and students will conduct research and the Deadman Wash archaeological complex just outside Flagstaff.

This program is intensive and will teach students not only how to fly drones and the different drone and sensor types available, but also how to process, analyze and interpret the data collected. Students will spend one week in the field, learning about drone operations, legal restrictions and flight path programing. Students will then spend a second week in the lab, processing data collected in the field and learning a range of photogrammetry techniques and software. By the end of the program, students will be able to take the FAA Part 107 certification test and become professional drone operators.

This program is designed for both academic and CRM archaeologists, providing training for regional archaeological surveys & site specific arial data. We will cover research techniques AND various data processing techniques and software. Space is limited to best to apply early.

Sincerely,
