RetirementCFSA Board Adopts Resolution Recognizing Executive Director Becky Bailey-Findley's Years of Service to CFSA and Pool Program Members
During the CFSA board's December meeting, the board presented Becky with her very own bobblehead figurine commemorating her retirement from CFSA leadership with a fun nod to her practice of using "big sheets" (those large pads of paper often used on easels) to document everything from meeting notes to strategic planning action lists.

Big Sheet Boss Lady!
In a memo introducing Resolution No. 19-50 to the board, CFSA Deputy Executive Director Rebecca Desmond wrote,  "Becky provided excellent guidance to the CFSA staff during her eight years on the board of directors from 1997 - 2004, however her real legacy is how she enhanced CFSA as a joint powers authority, a risk pool, an asset to the network of California Fairs, and as a family. We are all better for having had the honor to work with her as our leading light."

Becky's retirement is effective as of December 31, 2019. On January 1, 2020, CFSA welcomes Rebecca as our new executive director.

Forms
Watch Your Email for CFSA  Revenue Protection and Hazardous Special Events Program Applications, and for Your Workers' Compensation Reporting  Forms

For expediency and for your convenience, in January CFSA will email application forms for the optional Revenue Protection and Hazardous Special Events programs to all California fairs, and the  Workers' Compensation Reporting Form to all participants in the Workers' Compensation Pool Program. The annual forms will be formatted in  Microsoft Word so that they can easily be filled out on your computer and emailed back to CFSA.

Our plan is to email the forms to all fair CEOs on Friday, January 10, so keep an eye on your email. If you have any questions about the forms, please contact Mario Castagnola (Revenue Protection and Hazardous Special Events programs) at [email protected] or 916/263-6145; or Kristen Fryer (Workers' Compensation Reporting Form) at [email protected] or 916/263-6174. If you have questions about any of the programs, please contact Tom Amberson, t[email protected] or 916/263-6180.

In 2020, we'll be demonstrating online training programs available at no cost to CFSA risk-pool program members
tradeshow Looking Ahead:
Stop by CFSA's Trade Show Booth During the 2020 WFA Convention & Trade Show. We'll Have Online Training Program Demonstrations and More!

CFSA believes so strongly in the value of online training, that staff will be demonstrating three online training resources available on-demand to all CFSA pool program member fairs. Part of CFSA's value-added benefits, the online programs are easy to use and you can sign up for all three right on the spot! You will find us in Trade Show Booth # 527. Please stop by to say hello - we will have representatives from each of CFSA's departments available to answer any questions you may have.

The California Construction Authority will be there, too!

Have a construction project in mind or one currently underway that you would like to discuss with the experts at the California Construction Authority (CCA)? Representatives will be available in Trade Show Booth # 531, as well as throughout the convention.
