The federal centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) have approved the Department of Human Services state plan amendments for Community First Services and Supports (CFSS). CFSS will replace the PCA and CSG programs.

We attended Disability Day at the Capital on 3/19/2024 and meet with MN representatives to discuss more funding and better supports for those with disabilities. Some specific topics of discussion included increased pay for DSPs, more accessible housing options, and increased control over waivers.
As always, we will continue to advocate on a legislative level on behalf of the disability community.

Electronic Visit Verification (EVV) Listening Sessions |

The MN Department of Human Services has released a series of listening sessions to share EVV updates. These will happen on a quarterly basis. The dates are as follows; 6/24/24, 9/23/24, 12/16/24. To sign up for these sessions, click the button below, then follow the instructions next to that. |

Home Care Recruitment & Retention Stipend |
|
|
|
All workers in Union programs (PCA Choice, CSG, CDCS, and CFSS Budget Model) now qualify for a one-time $1,000 retention stipend after six (6) months of work! This includes PCAs, Family Caregivers, and Paid Parents.
Workers may also qualify for an EVV Stipend ($200), Training Stipend ($500), rate increases, and COVID Hazard Back-Pay.
Applications can be submitted until May 30th, 2025.

Last month we asked which method is your favorite for listening to music, and the results are in... Good ole radio station came in first at 36.9%, followed by straight from a cell phone (27.4%). In a tie for 3rd place we have nothing beats a vinyl and headphones at 17.9% each. Stay tuned for the results of the movie genre survey next month! |

Each year MRCI is required to assign training to all workers under the 245D programs of Individualized Home Supports (IHS) formerly known as Personal Supports, Respite, and now Homemaker. Below is the calendar of when the training will be assigned.
Training is assigned in the beginning of the month and is due by the last day of the month. If your worker does not complete the training they will be temporarily suspended and not able to clock in or out through the app, or be paid for the time worked until complete.
