EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE CORNER

MEMBERSHIP - AREA D VP - ALISON ECCLESTON

Membership Branding is about clarifying your message, strengthening your story, and inviting others to belong. Branding shows the world who you are, what you value, and what you are doing. When your mission, logo, tagline, story, and website work together, they help people see the heart of your club and invite them to become part of it.

Part two, review the core branding pieces.

Branding helps people notice, understand, and feel invited into your club. A strong brand gives people an immediate sense of who you are, what you value, and why they may want to belong.

Your Mission Statement-Do you have one? Is it still relevant? How would we update it?

Logo- is it sharp, clean, bold, and easy to recognize? Does it represent the club beyond one administration?

Tagline- Do we have a short phrase that sparks interest and captures our purpose?

Part 3 will be here next week.

LEGISLATION & PUBLIC POLICY - KATHY HOLM, Chair

Congress left Washington for its August recess without passing the SAVE Act (H.R. 22), but there is growing discussion about taking portions of the SAVE Act and attaching them to other legislation Congress must consider when lawmakers return, including budget and other “must-pass” bills.

Moving these provisions piecemeal could limit the opportunity for the public and lawmakers to fully debate, review, and understand significant changes to election and voter registration requirements including their potential fiscal and operational impacts. That’s why staying engaged matters.

Before Congress returns, please contact your elected officials and urge them to oppose efforts to add SAVE Act provisions to other legislation.

Your voice can help ensure these important changes receive the full debate and scrutiny they deserve.
