Mississauga, ON – The Canadian Golf Superintendents Association (CGSA) announced today that the 2024 Fall Field Day National Championship will visit Shaughnessy Golf and Country Club in Vancouver, British Columbia on Monday, September 23, 2024. Our host superintendent for the event is Andrew Hart.
Shaughnessy Golf and Country Club is an 18-hole private golf club located on the shores of the Fraser River. It originally opened in 1911 as Shaughnessy Heights Golf Club and later moved to its current location and renamed in 1960. It was redesigned by the distinguished and renowned Irish born golf architect, A.V. Macan. Shaughnessy has a storied history of hosting prestigious events throughout it's 100 plus year history; with hosting four Canadian Opens and most recently the CPKC Women's Open in August 2023.
“CGSA is privileged to be able to play this outstanding course. I’m looking forward to the events taking place as part of the Fall Field Day, not just the opportunity to golf with my colleagues at this amazing course, but to network and learn during the educational seminar. The Fall Field Day is a highlight on my calendar each year and going to Shaughnessy will be truly special,” said Dustin Zdan, AGS, CGSA President.
CGSA is working on an educational session to be incorporated into the overall events as well as additional golf. CGSA and BCGSA are in discussions to add to an already great event . An announcement will be made as soon as details are available.
Various sponsorship opportunities will be available for the 2024 Fall Field Day. Should you wish to reserve or discuss options contact Barb Manifold at bmanifold@golfsupers.com.
