Celebrating Father's Day & Juneteenth!

This June, I’m reflecting deeply on a role that defines me more than any title ever could – being a father.

Father’s Day offers us a moment to celebrate the love, labor, and legacy of fatherhood. It’s also a reminder that, for many of us, the journey to fatherhood is one shaped by resilience, learning, and intention.

As a father, I carry the responsibility of raising a child with love, honesty, and purpose. It is, without a doubt, the most important job I will ever have.

We also take time this month to honor Juneteenth, a day that commemorates Black freedom, resilience, and the long road toward justice. It is not only a celebration of emancipation, but a call to continue the work of liberation in every form – economic, social, political, and spiritual. As we reflect on our history, we recommit ourselves to building a future rooted in equity, healing, and collective power.

As we move through this month, may we honor the fathers, ancestors, and freedom fighters who laid the foundation, and may we keep building toward a future that honors their sacrifice and spirit.

Blessings!
