Update Your Chamber Listing by December 6th

for the 2024 Printed Membership Directory

We recently emailed the primary contact for each of our Chamber members to ask that each check their listing in our online directory to ensure it is accurate before we prepare to print our 2024 Membership Directory. (We also mailed a few notices to members that we didn't have an email on file.) We encourage ALL of our members to visit the online directory on our website and search for your business listing. Please double-check we have all of the information accurate including the business name, physical address, phone number, 25-word description, primary category your listing is in, and click on any links to verify they are going to the correct website or social media site for your organization. If any part of your listing isn't quite right, please give us a call at (806) 373-7800 or email christy@amarillo-chamber.org with any corrections or to be emailed a link to update your listing yourself through the Members Only portal.

We also encourage you to take care of any outstanding invoices you may have with the Chamber for your membership dues so that you are not removed from this directory. Our deadline to make changes to your listing for this printed directory is the first week of December, so we appreciate your prompt response by December 6th.

If you know of a business that is not yet a member of the Chamber, we encourage you to share this deadline with them to sign up as a member to be included in this annual printed resource.

In this holiday season, we are very thankful for each and every member and supporter of the Chamber.

A Reminder to Check the Address BEFORE You Click Links or Open Attachments

WE HATE SPAMMERS! Here's a reminder to always check before you click on any attachments or links in emails that look like they are sent from the Amarillo Chamber. BEFORE you click on html links or attachments, hover over the name that sent the email so that you can see the actual address that sent the email. Just because the name says "Amarillo-chamber," the email address was not one of our staff members. And if the email shows our name but the email address is not one shown below, delete it and mark it as junk. Any other sender claiming to be the Chamber is fake or a scammer and you should never click links or provide personal information. Even if it looks like an invoice, those would only come from one of the email addresses below.

or

Please add our emails to your address book and mark us as a safe sender. If you are unsure if an email you received that looks like it was from us is real or not, don't hesitate to give us a call at 806-373-7800. Be diligent and help us keep your information and computer networks safe.

Do you love networking at our After Hours Events but sometimes forget they are happening? Opt in to our text message reminders by texting the word CHAMBEREVENTS (without a space) to 40691. We send reminders of the date, time and location 2-3 hours before the event starts. It's free, but standard text message rates apply if you don't have unlimited texting. We also send out registration reminders about bigger events coming up through this special keyword. It's a great way to stay in the loop.

Please note, if you would like to opt in for reminders about ribbon cutting events, text the word REDCOAT to the same number. Note, ribbon cuttings are open to the public, but in order to be considered to serve on our Roundup Club as a Redcoat Representative, you must apply online.

DON'T BE A GRINCH! HOST A BLOOD DRIVE!

The holidays are an amazing time of year to gather with friends and family! One thing that people don't think about though, is that the need for blood doesn't stop for holidays. We have some HUGE DEFICITS on our calendar that are some critical dates. More blood is used around the holidays and we are short. If you can gather 15-20 people at your church, school, or business. AREA PATIENTS NEED YOU! Here are the critical dates we need help with: Sat Dec 23, Sun Dec 24, Mon Dec 26, Fri Dec 29, Sat Dec 30, Sun Dec 31, Tues Jan 2, Wed Jan 3, Thurs Jan 4, and Fri Jan 5th. As you can see, this is way too many dates in a row to be low.

Click here for more information or to schedule an individual donation or call about hosting a blood drive.
