Chamber Barbecue Cook-Off is Three Weeks Away
on Thursday, October 3rd
| |
|
Click here or on the image above for more information on this year's Chamber BBQ Cook-Off happening on Thursday, October 3rd at the Tri-State Fairgrounds. Make plans to join us for the biggest fundraising event we hold all year. This event is presented by Reed Beverage, Tyson Foods, United Supermarkets, and our almost 100 cooking teams. Everything is included in the ticket price...food, drinks, networking, and live music from the Velvet Funk Band.
Tickets are on sale now at the Chamber Office at 10th & Polk during normal business hours, at the Civic Center Box Office at 4th & Buchanan from noon-6pm daily, by phone at (806) 378-3096, or online at Panhandle Tickets for $30 in advance or they will be $40 at the gate. Note, online tickets will incur a small convenience handling fee.
Due to a software issue, tickets will NOT be sold through United Supermarkets, Market Street or Amigos this year.
| |
Watch and listen for our BBQ Commercial on your favorite local TV or Radio station, and give it a watch on YouTube.
We are looking for a few more volunteers to help out with our cook-off on Thursday, October 3rd. Volunteers will primarily help out with taking tickets, applying wristbands, or checking IDs at the gate for a 90-minute shift, and then you can enjoy the event for free the remaining time. Spots are limited, but if you would like to be considered, click the blue button, read the rules, and submit your application with a choice of shift you could work. Denise will get back with you to confirm or offer alternatives if the shift you have chosen is full.
|

A Reminder to Check the Address BEFORE You Click Links or Open Attachments
|
WE HATE SPAMMERS! Here's a reminder to always check before you click on any attachments or links in emails that look like they are sent from the Amarillo Chamber. BEFORE you click on html links or attachments, hover over the name that sent the email so that you can see the actual address that sent the email. Just because the name says "Amarillo-chamber," the email address was not one of our staff members. And if the email shows our name but the email address is not one shown below, delete it and mark it as junk. Any other sender claiming to be the Chamber is fake or a scammer and you should never click links or provide personal information. Even if it looks like an invoice, those would only come from one of the email addresses below.
or
Please add our emails to your address book and mark us as a safe sender. If you are unsure if an email you received that looks like it was from us is real or not, don't hesitate to give us a call at 806-373-7800. Be diligent and help us keep your information and computer networks safe.
