It's time to brighten up the summer nights with a light pole decorating contest! This year we will decorate downtown Mason light poles in themed categories to help celebrate the coming spring and summer weather. Businesses and citizens can adopt a pole for our contest to bring their own creativity to Mason's downtown. Online registration ONLY. During registration there are two categories "Spring Has Sprung" and "Stars & Stripes" to simplify the voting process. Please select the category that will best fit your decorative idea!

Mason Area Chamber of Commerce

Hometown U.S.A. Committee Sponsorship Opportunity

Find the Mason Bulldog Locally during July
$50 Sponsorship fee for up to fifty participating MACC Member Businesses

Mason Area Chamber of Commerce, Hometown USA Committee is asking members to join in a search for a Mason Bulldog at your business during the month of July 2021. Each participating Chamber Member stop will receive a cute plush bulldog wearing a royal blue t-shirt “Mason, MI” imprint and materials to promote
Find the Mason Bulldog Locally in July.

Sponsorship fee is due by Friday June 11th. Each player gets a Find the Mason Bulldog Locally passport to find the bulldogs and log their search. A player may start at any business listed on the passport; the passport travels with the player. A Mason Bulldog is hiding - somewhere - in all the listed businesses.

  • Please send your sponsorship fee to the MACC to be included in “Find The Mason Bulldog Locally!”
  • Put up the "Shop Local, Find the Mason Bulldog Here" window sign in your store window or on your front door. You may post the sign anytime but the search starts July 1.
  • Put the Bulldog Plush out somewhere in your establishment on July 1. The Bulldog can move from place to place in your business, but must be in a public area. You want people to look around your shop, but you don't want to make it so difficult that they get annoyed.
  • After a player spots your Bulldog, either stamp his/her passport with your store stamp or sign his/her passport. If players are just starting out with their first Bulldog sighting, give them a new “Find The Mason Bulldog Locally!” passport.
  • Passports accompany the plush Mason Bulldog, which is yours to keep, or give away after 7/31/2021.
  • Extra passports available at MACC.
  • Players are directed to turn in passports to MACC with at least 75% filled stops (this number will be determined after sponsorships are confirmed ) by July 31, 2021. They will be entered to win their very own Mason, Mi plush Bulldog at a drawing to be held at the Chamber Office after 7/31/2021.

We expect to award at least 35 winners. Have Fun with This! Add this Shop, Eat & Drink Locally in Mason to your store marketing! Offer coupons for “come back to shop” discounts on a service or special offers for bulldog searchers.

Call MACC office 517-676-1046 or Jamie Robinson, Hometown USA Chair 517-719-6700 for more information.
