HI FOLKS,
As we mentioned in our memo dated Sept.6th, our convention on Friday, October 14 – rather than being a face-to-face event - will be a virtual event. This decision was largely based on members’ requests, responding to recent Sask. Health cautions about the likelihood of a COVID-19 surge this fall.
We acknowledge the main disadvantage for the participants is that there are fewer opportunities for informal networking with other communities (which our presenters will try to off-set by encouraging on-line discussion).
There are advantages of a virtual convention, however, for participants:
- There is no fee for the convention, plus no travel or hotel required.
- You can watch the sessions from the comfort of your favourite chair.
- We can accommodate a larger number of participants from each community.
