  • It's Spotted Lanternfly Season: These insects have not been at the forefront of most people's minds during the pandemic, but they are still here and can pose a threat to the community's beloved trees. We consulted with Morris Arboretum's Emeritus Director, who does not feel that a District-wide treatment is necessary at this time, but individual property and business owners are urged to be vigilant and take action to protect their trees as recommended by Penn State Extension HERE if they observe infestation. PSU staff recommends the pesticides Sevin or Ortho Home Defense.
