The Connecticut Hispanic Bar Association (CHBA), Hispanic Federation Connecticut, and the National Association of Latino Elected and Appointed Officials (NALEO) Education Fund announced the launch of a multi-stakeholder coalition bringing together people and organizations with the goal of advocating for the inclusion of Latinos in senior levels of Connecticut's newly elected administration under the formation of the Connecticut Latino Gubernatorial Appointments Task Force (CT Latino Task Force).  The goal of the CT Latino Task Force will be to increase the number of Latinos serving in appointed positions among the various boards, commissions and authorities within the new governor's administration.

Toy Drive: Please join the HNBA Region I in giving back during this holiday season by participating in the Holiday Giving Drive, where HNBA will work with Casa Myrna, Project Hope and the Victim Rights Law Center to provide gifts to Latinx children affected by domestic violence and/or poverty.  The toy drive collection will begin on December 10, 2018 in the building lobby located at One Constitution Plaza, Hartford, CT 06103.  Please click here for more details.

December 6, 2018:  The George W. Crawford Black Bar Association's Annual Holiday Gathering   will be held t 6:00 PM at Black Eyed Sally's in Hartford, Connecticut.  At this year's gathering, Crawford will be seeking to collect items to give to Community Partners for Action, which assists individuals previously involved in the criminal justice system with employment, basic needs, and recovery services.
