Community Governance Meeting

What it is: This is a meeting where community members can take direct action/advocate for things, without it having to go through the regular CHCC board process (per the bylaws).

How it works: At least 2x per year, members can propose a motion (e.g., want to change something about the bylaws? Propose it at the meeting). The members in attendance vote on moving the motion to a full membership vote. If yes, a membership vote is held within 30 days.

So, join us on at our General Meeting on April 22, 2026 (see below for details) for our Community Governance Meeting! Propose a motion or just vote on whether or not to move a motion forward. Either way, this is a great chance to participate in making the community better!

General Meeting

Wednesday, April 22, 6:30 - 8pm

Agenda:

  • Guest speaker: Cascade Bicycle Club
  • Community Governance
  • Committee Updates: The Big Ideas, Housing and Transportation committees will share what they have been up to and when they will be meeting next
  • Board Nominees will have a chance to address the community

All are welcome to attend. If you have something you would like to bring up or share with the group, we will have time for that, as well!

Wednesday, April 22 - 6:30-8pm - Seattle Central College, Room 1111
