Next Meeting

Our next CHCC meeting will be at Seattle Central College on Wednesday, March 26th at 6:30pm in Room 1111/1110 (map). You need to enter from the Broadway entrance. (After you enter, make a left and the room will be on your left). We will be discussing the upcoming elections, event planning, and a presentation about "Where Exactly is Capitol Hill?"

February Meeting Recap



We passed bylaws and reviewed some of the most popular topics from the Big Ideas Fest. Popular topics were pedestrian/cyclist safety, public transportation, in-person events, affordable housing, and dog parks. We discussed potential projects centered around beautifying Broadway, installing more bike racks, and increasing cleanup events.

Safety & Outreach News



  • The Greater Seattle Business Association (GSBA) has hired a Neighborhood Safety Coordinator, Jen Carl who started on February 18th. Jen will work with the Capitol Hill business community and be responsible for building relationships, outreach, coordination with key city departments and communication with the community regarding safety issues. D3 representative, Joy Hollingsworth, has provided funding support for this role - thank you, Councilmember Hollingsworth!  



  • The CARE team is now on the streets of Capitol Hill reaching out to neighbors in need and connecting people with services.


  • The Salvation Army Outreach and LEAD are partnering to provide community response and doing outreach for people on Broadway and elsewhere in Capitol Hill and/or or First Hill. 


  • How can you help? See something, say something! Use the Find It/Fix It app, and when appropriate, call 911 for emergency and non-emergency assistance. Operators will dispatch the appropriate service organization to help people.

Corner Store Initiative


The Greater Seattle Business Association is developing a provision to increase the areas eligible for corner stores. For more information or to sign their petition to include mid-lot locations please visit here.
