| | chfa introduces multifamily loan program improvements | In response to customer feedback, CHFA recently introduced improvements to its multifamily loan programs to support a faster, more streamlined closing process. These enhancements further CHFA’s longstanding partnership with affordable housing developers in building stronger communities by providing safe, secure, and affordable homes for Coloradans. Additional details and FAQs are available via the link below. | | | | | private activity bond (pab) stakeholder outreach meeting | CHFA is inviting stakeholders to discuss affordable rental housing development financing using Private Activity Bonds (PAB), specifically regarding the One Big Beautiful Bill Act, signed into law on July 4th. The Act permanently reduces the must-finance by PAB threshold for developments using federal 4 percent Housing Tax Credits and bonds issued starting in 2026 from 50 percent to 25 percent. Please join the virtual meeting on Wednesday, September 10th, from 1:00pm to 2:00pm to learn more about CHFA’s implementation and share feedback. | | housing affordability gap webinar | Join CHFA for a webinar on Wednesday, September 10th, from Noon to 1:00pm. The webinar will address Colorado’s housing affordability gap, and the factors influencing Colorado’s housing affordability challenges and opportunities. It will include a demonstration of The Gap Map, an interactive tool that highlights key housing affordability data across the state, as well as a presentation from Housing Colorado featuring the Colorado Zoning Atlas. | | | | | CHFA’s Direct Effect Awards recognize Colorado nonprofit organizations whose missions align with CHFA’s work to strengthen Colorado by investing in affordable housing and community development. Season Two of The Buildout kicks off on September 4, 2025, and the remaining episodes will be published every other Thursday. Herlinger Golf Tournament raised $105,000 for Montbello Organizing Committee (MOC) on Tuesday, August 12, 2025. Based in Denver’s Montbello neighborhood, MOC is a community organization dedicated to energizing and supporting Montbello stakeholders and resident leaders in their efforts to proactively and responsibly tackle the critical issues impacting their quality of life. MOC identifies and addresses many challenges the community faces, including lack of affordable housing. CHFA’s annual golf tournament raises proceeds to benefit a local nonprofit whose work coincides with CHFA’s mission of affordable housing and community development. | |
