Earlier this month, CHFA was pleased to announce that 12 developments have been awarded a reservation of federal and state Housing Tax Credits to support the construction or preservation of 679 affordable rental housing units in Colorado. This includes awards of Transit-oriented Communities (TOC) credit to seven developments. The TOC credit is a new state Housing Tax Credit that supports affordable rental housing development near transit.
Developments awarded will seek to address various housing needs in Colorado, supporting households with low and moderate incomes, individuals and families transitioning out of homelessness, and older adults. Developments supported will be located in Alamosa, Aurora, Brighton, Denver, Fort Collins, Frisco, Superior, Trinidad, Westminster, and Wheat Ridge.

During June, CHFA will be participating in two free homebuyer events in Denver.
CHFA is a presenting sponsor of the Colorado Sun Take Me Home event that will be held Wednesday, June 4th at 4:30pm at Rooftop 1630 in Denver. The interactive event will bring together industry experts to discuss programs to support Coloradans in their homebuying journey. Registration information is available via the link below.
| Part II of Building Legacy: A Black Homeownership Series will be held Saturday, June 28th at Noon at the Center for African American Health in Denver. The event will focus on introducing the steps to homeownership and how to plan a homebuying journey. Each event will build upon the previous one, but attendance is not required at all events. Participants can join the event series at any point. In-person and virtual registration options are available via the link below. | | chfa to host sweepstakes during national homeownership month | June is National Homeownership Month. To celebrate, CHFA is hosting the Good to be home sweepstakes. Starting June 5, 2025 through June 30, 2025, CHFA homeowners are invited to share how homeownership has changed their life along with a photo of them and their home. Jared Polis, the Colorado Office of Economic Development and International Trade (OEDIT), and CHFA announced 21 recipients of the Proposition 123 Land Banking program.
