chfa announces 2025 round one housing tax credit awards

Earlier this month, CHFA was pleased to announce that 12 developments have been awarded a reservation of federal and state Housing Tax Credits to support the construction or preservation of 679 affordable rental housing units in Colorado. This includes awards of Transit-oriented Communities (TOC) credit to seven developments. The TOC credit is a new state Housing Tax Credit that supports affordable rental housing development near transit.

Developments awarded will seek to address various housing needs in Colorado, supporting households with low and moderate incomes, individuals and families transitioning out of homelessness, and older adults. Developments supported will be located in Alamosa, Aurora, Brighton, Denver, Fort Collins, Frisco, Superior, Trinidad, Westminster, and Wheat Ridge.

Part II of Building Legacy: A Black Homeownership Series will be held Saturday, June 28th at Noon at the Center for African American Health in Denver. The event will focus on introducing the steps to homeownership and how to plan a homebuying journey. Each event will build upon the previous one, but attendance is not required at all events. Participants can join the event series at any point. In-person and virtual registration options are available via the link below.
