CHFA recently announced that 14 developments have been awarded a reservation of federal and state Housing Tax Credits to support the construction or preservation of 634 affordable rental housing units in Colorado. This includes awards of Transit-oriented Communities (TOC) credit to five of these developments.
Developments awarded will support households with low and moderate incomes, individuals and families transitioning out of homelessness, individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD), and older adults. They will be located in Aurora, Cañon City, Clifton, Colorado Springs, Denver, Divide, Fort Lupton, Lafayette, Manitou Springs, Montrose, and Towaoc.

Throughout the month of June, CHFA home mortgage customers are invited to share why owning a home in Colorado is important to them and what makes their home unique in 200 words or less, along with a photo of them and their home. A random entry will be chosen to win a $1,000 gift card. Complete details are available on the CHFA website. | | small-scale technical assistance pre-application deadline | The pre-application deadline for the second round of CHFA’s Small-scale Technical Assistance program is Friday, June 26th. The program helps catalyze small-scale affordable housing developments of 25 units or less by providing access to an affordable housing consultant and pre-development grant assistance. Guidelines and pre-application documents are available on the CHFA website, and prospective applicants are encouraged to partner with their local Community Relationship Manager. | | | | | 2026 david w. herlinger golf tournament | CHFA’s 2026 David W. Herlinger Golf Tournament will be held on Wednesday, September 16th, at Arrowhead Golf Club in Littleton. This year’s tournament beneficiary is Project Diakonia, a nonprofit whose mission is to empower underserved youth through vocational training and education, paving the way for them to transform their lives.
