May 2024| Center for Human Health and the Environment

Note from the Director

Hello everyone!

We have successfully submitted the CHHE P30 grant renewal (all 650+ pages)!! I want to again thank the many CHHE members involved in writing and proofing sections, and the exceptional help we had from the Office of Research and Innovation's Proposal Development Unit (Molly, Kendall, Kelsey and Jiyoung) to make it a strong proposal, and look great, too. As I mentioned at our external advisory board review earlier this year, we have developed a new, more inclusive and all encompassing Center logo that will replace the old red block logo. The new logo has been incorporated onto letterhead and powerpoint slides on our website and in the links below. It is also available in multiple orientations for use on email signatures. Please use this logo going forward. Additionally, in the spirit of enhancing career development, we have set aside funds to order business cards with the new logo (100/member). You will receive a Google survey in your email today or can use the Google Form linked-in below that requests the information needed (note on the form that some requested items are optional). The deadline for this request is May 24th, COB.

I hope you enjoy a little break from teaching and that those of you with graduating trainees or children enjoy the coming weeks...
