The City of Chicago, the 43rd Ward and Jewel-Osco are collecting new household items for distribution to veterans transitioning out of homelessness.

Too often, a formerly homeless veteran lacks the resources to purchase many of the basic items needed to live independently. You can donate to the  Operation Help-A-Hero   drive by dropping donations to any Jewel-Osco or the 43rd Ward Office through July 3rd.
