Meet Our Newest Board Member: Chris Larkin
We are happy to announce the addition of our newest board member: Christine E. Larkin!
“I am excited to join the Colorado Headwaters Land Trust Board and help the Land Trust’s mission of conserving open land in Grand County."
Chris recently retired from her position as Senior Vice President/General Counsel and Corporate Secretary for a publicly-traded media company based in Dallas, TX – a company that she had been with since 2004. Chris and her husband, Jim, now call Fraser their full-time home. They have been homeowners in Grand County since 2014 and enjoy all that Grand County has to offer. Chris graduated from Georgetown University with a BS in 1985, and obtained her JD from the University of Oklahoma in 1994. Chris has been a licensed attorney in Texas for over twenty-five years and has been recently licensed in Colorado. Chris began her legal career at Hunton & Williams LLP, where she was a partner in the Global Capital Markets, Mergers & Acquisitions Section. She served on many firm committees and provided hundreds of hours of pro bono legal work. Chris left private practice in 2004 to join Belo Corp., a national television and newspaper holding company. Chris then became general counsel and corporate secretary of a spin-off of that media company, A. H. Belo Corporation (now DallasNews Corporation). In addition to being responsible for all the company’s legal affairs, Chris acted as liaison to the board of directors and facilitated board of director meetings. Chris brings years of business and legal experience to the CHLT Board.

Update: Granby Highlands Trails
Whether you're a resident of Grand County or a visitor who loves to take advantage
of our area’s outdoor recreation, we all have a stake in preserving the open spaces we
care about in Colorado. Help Colorado Headwaters Land Trust conserve 780 acres of open space and two river miles, all in the Town of Granby!
We are at 85% of our goal, and need your help to raise the last $205,400 to protect this Granby Highlands Trails Conservation Easement. With your gift, you can help CHLT protect spaces like this parcel of land in perpetuity, for visitors, locals, and wildlife to enjoy, forever.
