Thank you to The Dean Public House!
We appreciate all the support we get from local businesses, especially The Dean Public House with their annual River Festival! This year donations made at the Festival came to the land trust. Thank you to everyone who showed up for the Festival to support our local businesses, the Colorado River, and the Colorado Headwaters Land Trust!

National Public Lands Day!

Miles Miller speaking to the crowd at Polhamus Park after a day of volunteering on National Public Lands Day. Behind Miles are mascots representing Colorado Parks & Wildlife, US Forest Service, Winter Park Resort, and the Bureau of Land Management.

Grand County has the longest-running celebration of National Public Lands Day in the country. This year marked the 30th NPLD, and Grand County's 29th consecutive year of getting volunteers out on the land. There were a dozen projects throughout the county, working with the US Forest Service, Bureau of Land Management, the National Park Service, Colorado Parks & Wildlife, many of the towns, and other nonprofits.
We wrapped up the day with a party at Polhamus Park in Granby, with free food and drink, live music by local music duo Burnt Orange, and mascots! The day also celebrated the long career of Miles Miller, recently retired from the USFS.

CHLT's Monthly Giving Program
We are in the final stretch to permanently conserving 780 acres of open space and two river miles, all in the Town of Granby! This project is community-driven and will benefit everyone, from recreators to wildlife - just like so many of our conservation projects. Thank you to everyone who has supported the project thus far, and continue to show their support for our work throughout the county.
With your gift, you can help Colorado Headwaters Land Trust continue to protect valuable open lands throughout Grand County in perpetuity, for visitors, locals, and wildlife to enjoy, forever.
