Session Action

Your Session met on Monday, June 15, 2026, where they welcomed Rev. Collin Adams from Waverly Road Presbyterian Church as the moderator for the meeting. Elder Shelby Ratchford opened the meeting with prayer and offered a devotion of gratitude for the Lakewood Methodist Church Youth Choir who visited CHPC last week.

The Session approved visiting pastors for the month of July and approved updates to the personnel and wedding policies. Elder Rob Wicker was appointed as the next Chartered Organization Representative for Troop 48, to continue the cherished partnership that Jim Fischer faithfully nurtured for many years. The Mission Study Team reported being hard at work in the process of finding an interim pastor.

The next stated Session meeting will be on July 20 at 5:30 pm in Room 221.

Rise Against Hunger Update

The meals CHPC packaged for Rise Against Hunger have been shipped! They are on their way to people in urgent need of food in the Philippines.

Father's Day

This Sunday is Father's Day! Please join us in honoring fathers and expressing our gratitude for their important role in our lives.

Administrative Assistant Position

Because our recent hiring of a new administrative assistant fell through, we have re-posted the job and are in the process of collecting applications and lining up interviews.

Wednesday, June 24:

Our final Wacky & Wonderful Wednesday takes place from 5:30-8:00! This week we will be learning about how Every Living Thing Needs Food! Wacky & Wonderful Wednesdays has been a truly exceptional series of events. Thank you to every single person who has contributed to make this month wonderful!

Sign-up is still available for children from the age of 4 to rising fifth graders.

Thank you to all the volunteers making this evening VBS program possible!

Also, part of the Wacky & Wonderful Wednesdays ministry is collecting donations to make prepared meal kits for our Blessing Box. Below is the information on this part of the ministry and a shopping list for items needed for the meal kits. Donations should be placed in the collection basket and be dropped off no later than the evening of Wednesday, June 24 downstairs in the gym. Thank you for feeding our neighbors and participating in this wonderful ministry!

The Blessing Box is a vital lifeline to our neighbors facing food insecurity, especially with school being out for the summer. To keep this little pantry stocked, please consider donating directly in the box at the street, located directly in front of the Jones Building, or in the collection basket located in the Narthex. 

Suggested items are any non-perishable foods or essential hygiene items. A detailed suggestion list is available in the Narthex collection basket. Thank you for your continued care for this community!

Children are always welcome in Worship and have a special time together down front after the prayer of confession. All children may enjoy “Children’s Church” downstairs during the sermon and may be picked up in the Kid's Connection room after worship.

The Chancel Choir practices each Wednesday night at 7:15 pm in the Sanctuary. Interested in making a joyful noise with new friends? All voices are welcome! Please contact Emily Broadhead to see how you can participate.

The Praise Band is looking for a new band leader. If you know of anyone who may be interested in this role, please let us know.
