Special thank you to Troop 48 for filling up the Blessing Box Supply closet. These canned goods were provided to us by the Scouts during their Continuous Bonfire and Scouting For Food Drive a few weeks ago. We are so grateful for their generous help and support of this ministry all year long!
And thank you to our entire church community for supporting Cents-Ability with your donations. A good part of those contributions are used to keep our Blessing Box fully stocked to feed our neighbors in need!

Join Us Next Week During
The Habitat for Humanity Faith Build!
| |
CHPC's week to help contribute to the 2025 Habitat Faith Build is upon us! Accompany us next week as we join in on the efforts to provide Matt, his daughter, and granddaughter a new home! There are several ways you can support Habitat - with prayers, financial gifts, or service! We are hoping to raise a total of $5,000 to support this project and are close to meeting that goal.
Projects during our work week include: blocking for cabinets, installation of an attic ladder, attic flooring, outside corner eave "bird boxes", and daily cleanup of the work site. Volunteers can sign up on the schedule located in the Narthex or by calling the church office. All volunteers will need to complete this waiver to participate in the build. Thanks for your support turning this house into a home!

Your Session met Monday night, February 17, for its regularly scheduled meeting. Business included the unanimous approval of newly revised Standards and Procedures for the church. This working document will help provided needed information for the many ways our church operates decently and in order. Other items of new business was the unanimous approval of Family leave for our custodian, Alec Paulsen, as per our personnel policy; and the scheduling of the Annual Garage Sale on May 30 &31. The next schedule session meeting will be held on Monday, March 17, at 5:30 pm.
In Christ,
- Chris Broadhead (Clerk) & David Randolph (Moderator)

Save the Date For Fat Tuesday
and Ash Wednesday!

Things kick off on Fat Tuesday as we enjoy a Pancake Party! Dinner will be served at 5:30 pm in the gym. Check out more details in the Facebook event and spread the word to your family and friends. Campus Improvement Committee Questionnaire | |
Since its founding in 1947, Colonial Heights Presbyterian Church has undergone significant facility changes to help empower the ministry of our congregation. We believe God is calling us to prepare for another change to ensure our facilities reflect the love and faithfulness of this church family as we seek to be the body of Christ in our community.
A questionnaire was sent to the congregation on Sunday, February 2, to solicit input about our current facilities and what valuable additions you believe will help sustain our shared ministry for years to come. Thank you for taking the time to thoughtfully answer these questions and for your continued prayers about this important project. This information will be most helpful as we begin to solicit an architect to illustrate a new vision for our facilities. If you have any additional comments or information you would like to share with the committee, please feel free to reach out to any member of the Campus Improvement Committee: Nathan Begue (Co-Chair), Al Doty (Co-Chair), Gretchen Bentley, Tammy Cox, Jonathan Hutchins, Marissa Paulsen, & David Randolph.

The church office will be closed on Thursday, February 20. David and Tyler will be working remotely and can be reached by phone or email. The church office will reopen on Monday, February 24, at 9:00 am. Stay warm in the midst of this winter weather!

Get ready for a new lenten spiritual practice this spring as members of CHPC exorcise their hearts, minds, and souls each Saturday during Lent! A yoga class will be offered at noon starting on March 9 at Vidya Yoga & Fitness in downtown Kingsport.
