Come and Support Troop 48's

Annual Continuous Campfire and Food Drive!

Join Troop 48 as they work to end hunger in our community with their annual Continuous Campfire and Scouting for Food Canned Food Drive! Troop 48 will set up camp in CHPC’s parking lot where they will be collecting food item donations all weekend long to help restock CHPC’s Blessing Box and Second Harvest Food Bank.

The weekend then caps off with our Annual Scout Sunday service, which will be celebrated in worship on February 8 at 10:00 am! We will be joined by the members of Troop 48 and they will share with us an update on their activities over the past year. Be sure to come and hear all the marvelous things God is doing through this important ministry. Thank you for supporting this dedicated group of young people, and we hope you join us in supporting their work to serve our local community!

This Sunday in Worship: February 8, 2026

Fifth Sunday of Epiphany & Scout Sunday

Join us this Sunday at Colonial Heights Presbyterian Church for the true return of our winter sermon series inspired by C.S. Lewis' "Chronicles of Narnia". This week we turn to the book "The Magician's Nephew" which draws on the biblical themes of God's creation and faithful stewardship. The Book of Genesis tells how God's breath hovers over the waters of creation and then moves to fill our lungs with that same life sustaining love. How might each of us be a good steward of that great gift? Let us listen for the movement of God's Spirit on this coming Scout Sunday as we dive deeper into the Good News of God's Word.

Sunday's Scripture:

John 20:11-23, NRSV

Genesis 2:4b-9, 15-25, NRSV

Sermon Title:

"Breathe In..."

And Don't Forget about Sunday Night's Event!

All are welcome to join us this Sunday for a Soup & Bowl Game night at 5:00 pm in the gym! It will be the perfect warm activity for us to enjoy together after dealing with all this snow that won't go away! Dinner will be a chili and/or soup competition, so be sure to bring your favorite winter chili, warm soup dish, side of bread, or dessert to share. We will be voting on our favorites, so a pro tip for you: bring your own muffin tray so you can sample them all! Check out more details in the Facebook event and spread the word to your family and friends. See you Sunday night!
