Colonial Heights Presbyterian Church is a congregation that

values a diversity of belief. Whether you're full of faith or full of doubt,

you'll find people who have been there and accept you for where you are.

We welcome all people to worship, pray, eat, seek spiritual answers, and enjoy life within this community of faith. All are welcome!

We All Love A Church Potluck!

Our church family comes together one last time for this season's Lenten Suppers this coming Sunday, March 15. All are welcome to join us down in the gym at 5:00 pm to share in a potluck supper and study God's Word together. Children, youth, and adults enjoy their own special discussions after dinner at 5:30 pm and wrap up by 6:30 pm. This week's lesson focuses on the passages of Holy Saturday: Psalm 31, John 19:38-42, and Psalm 88. We can't wait to see what great things all our friends bring to share!

Please remember that volunteers are needed to help set up tables and chairs after worship this Sunday. Please speak with Elder Steve Healy if you can help ensure everyone has a seat around Christ's table!

The Children's Choir makes some sweet music to kick off worship this week. Come and hear this choir of angels as they make a joyful noise! Children's choir practice will resume after worship on Sunday, March 23.

Adult Sunday School Classes continue after worship at 11:15 am. The Disciples Class meets in room 218 and the Remnant Class meets in room 221. Please speak with David to learn more about either group or how you can get further involved in various adult discipleship opportunities.

CHPC's "Kids Club" continues after worship at 11:15 am for children of all ages to enjoy a time of fellowship while their adults participate in Sunday School. Kiddos will enjoy some fun, game/play-oriented time in the Kids Connection Room until noon. Please speak with Tyler if your child plans to attend and spread the word about this new church activity!

Members of the congregation help deliver beds in partnership with Sleep in Heavenly Peace in the afternoon on Sunday, March 15 . This is a powerful way to share Christ's love to a child in need. Please contact Allen Booth if you would like to serve in this most meaningful way.

Get Ready For The Church Yard Sale!

Donations may be brought to the gym starting on Saturday, March 21. Please no broken items, clothes, or shoes. Volunteers are needed to staff the sorting and the sale. Sign up on Sunday's in the parlor or by calling the church office. Spread the word by sharing the facebook event here!

Stand Up With Rise Against Hunger!

Colonial Heights Presbyterian Church hosts another Rise Against Hunger meal packing event on Sunday, April 12 as part of our Lenten discipline as a church family. All are welcome to join us for a short communion service at 10:00 am in the Sanctuary before we go downstairs to the gym to pack 16,750 meals in two hours. There are many different ways to serve during this event, from sitting down to count supplies, all the way to standing up to pack boxes. Please come and help us be the hands and feet of Jesus to the world!

It's amazing to see how the congregation is getting excited to serve in this special way. Our fundraising goal is to raise almost $7000 and we are half way there! All donations above our goal will go to address food insecurity here at home through the work of Meals on Wheels of Colonial Heights. Please speak with Karen Dale or any member of the Missions Committee to learn more about how you can help!

CHPC's "Songspiration" prayer gathering continues this coming Wednesday from 6:30 to 7:15 pm in the parlor. This lay-led time of communal prayer reflects on a different song throughout the season of Lent, and next week's will be "Blessings" by Laura Story. You can listen to her song here on youtube and even more about it in a little behind the scenes video here. Please contact Gretchen Bentley to learn more or even suggest a song!

The CHPC Easter Memorial Gifts program is for those who wish to give a memorial gift to honor or remember those special people who have been a part of our life. You may choose to give an Easter Lily that will be used to decorate the church or a monetary contribution to our Renovation Fund. Lilies are $12 and forms are available on the information table in the narthex. The order for these lilies must be returned by Sunday, March 22. Any monetary contributions to the Renovation Fund should be given by March, 29. Please speak with a member of the worship committee with any questions.

CHPC partners with Marsh Regional Blood Center on Sunday, April 19 for another blood drive. This is an amazing way to give back in celebration of Christ's Resurrection on Easter! Please note that those who have given blood after February 22 will not be able to participate at this time. Call the church office to sign up.
