Colonial Heights Presbyterian Church is a congregation that

values a diversity of belief. Whether you're full of faith or full of doubt,

you'll find people who have been there and accept you for where you are.

We welcome all people to worship, pray, eat, seek spiritual answers,

and enjoy life within this community of faith. All are welcome!

Come Celebrate Rally Day this Sunday!

All are invited to join us on Sunday, August 3 in worship for our annual Rally Day service! We will be kicking off the fall semester for our teachers and students by participating in a blessing of their backpacks. And we will be giving out backpack tags as a small gift. Students and teachers of any age are invited to attend. And if you aren't either of those, come with a heart full of support for our students and teachers as they embark on a new academic year. Please spread the word and we can't wait to see you there!

As part of our annual back to school celebrations, we invite you, your family, and your friends to join us for our August Splash Down! This will be next Saturday, August 9, from 6:30-8:30pm at the Kingsport Aquatic Center! Come enjoy this last hurrah of summer with all the fun the aquatic park has to offer and of course--grab some ice cream! It's the perfect way for the entire congregation to celebrate the end of the first week of school, you won't want to miss it!

Ministry Highlight: CHPC Youth Group

When we celebrate Rally Day, we anticipate with excitement all the opportunities a new school year can bring. One excellent example of the kinds of occasions we are called to be mindful for is the chance to serve others! As our students begin their new semester, our church family has an opportunity to support our youth by providing meals for Sunday night youth gatherings. Please follow the link below to see the youth dinner schedule and sign up. Or if you would simply like to contribute to cover meal, please contact Tyler directly. Thanks so much for supporting our fantastic youth group!

Mark your Calendars for our Koinonia Gatherings

Our fall Sunday night bible studies returns very soon! Our many membered family will gather as one at the table to enjoy some blessed koinonia. Koinonia is the greek word for "fellowship" that expresses the active participation in a common life together. At the heart of this theological idea is the sharing, partnership, and communion of being connected in this blessed community called the Church. So please save the date for this five-week Bible study series starting on August 17 at 5:00 pm. We will kick the evenings off with a shared supper served before this intergenerational event. Following our meal, Children and Youth will have their own fun and learning while Adults study scripture together from 5:30-6:30 pm. All are welcome!
