Colonial Heights Presbyterian Church is a congregation that

values a diversity of belief. Whether you're full of faith or full of doubt,

you'll find people who have been there and accept you for where you are.

We welcome all people to worship, pray, eat, seek spiritual answers,

and enjoy life within this community of faith. All are welcome!

All Are Welcome to the August Splashdown!

As part of our annual back to school celebrations, we invite you, your family, and your friends to join us for our annual August Splash Down! This event will be on Saturday, August 9, from 6:30-8:30pm at the Kingsport Aquatic Center! Come enjoy this last hurrah of summer with all the fun the aquatic park has to offer and of course--enjoy some ice cream! It's the perfect way for the entire congregation to celebrate the end of the first week of school, you won't want to miss it!

We had a wonderful Rally Day this past Sunday where the church was able to offer a blessing on all our students and teachers as they prepared for their first day back to school! Thanks to all who came and participated. This year's back pack tag says "Be Kind" and that is our hope for this new school year, that we may all "Be Kind" to every beloved child of God we meet, just like our Lord is to each of us. Please continue to keep these students and educators in our hearts and prayers throughout the school year! And be sure to look on our Facebook page tomorrow for more pictures from this special Sunday!

This Sunday in Worship:

Please fill out our Youth and Children Info Form!

A new school year means that all of our children and youth have bumped up into the next grade. For some, this means small changes that may not truly make big impacts. But for others, this may mean entirely new schools or even school for the first time! During these big moments of change that a new school year brings, we as a church family want to know how we can best support you and your family within our ministry. That is why we would like to invite all parents, grandparents, guardians, or any other kind of caregiver to fill out this brief Informational Survey on the child or youth in your life. Please let us know how our ministry can better serve you, we would love to ride the waves of life alongside you and your family!

As we enter a new school year, we anticipate with excitement all the opportunities the new semester brings. One excellent example of the kinds of occasions we are called to be mindful for is the chance to serve others! As our students begin their new semester, our church family has an opportunity to support our youth by providing meals for Sunday night youth gatherings. Please follow the link below to see the youth dinner schedule and sign up. Or if you would simply like to contribute to cover meal, please contact Tyler directly. Thanks so much for supporting our fantastic youth group!

Join us for another Mission Lunch and Learn

Another lunch and learn about the Care Portal Ministry will happen after worship downstairs in the youth room on Sunday, August 17. Lunch will be provided. Please sign up by speaking with Allen Booth or by contacting the church office.

Want to know more about this thing everyone keeps calling the "Care Portal"? Click here to see for yourself the impact we can make by responding to requests from local school guidance counselors or social workers to help families with children who have various needs. Thank you for making missions a priority for our church family and may God's Spirit continue to guide us to be the hands and feet of Christ in God's world.

Sunday Night Suppers are Coming Up!

Our Fall Sunday Night Suppers return very soon! For five Sunday evenings in a row, our many membered family will gather as one at the table to enjoy some blessed fellowship and study God's Word. Please save the dates for this series starting on August 17 at 5:00 pm in the gym. Following our shared meal, Children and Youth will have their own fun and learning while Adults study scripture together from 5:30-6:30 pm. Our passages come a few of the parables in Luke's Gospel that Jesus shared to better explain what the kingdom of heaven looks like. All are welcome to gather around Christ's table!
