and enjoy life within this community of faith. All are welcome!

Our Pumpkins Come This Saturday!

Ready or not, the pumpkins are almost here!!! Please join us this Saturday morning at 9:00 am to help us unload all the beautiful gourds we will be selling in the CHPC Pumpkin Patch. This year, we will be receiving an entire semi-truck load of pumpkins, so we could use all the help we can get! We'll bring the coffee and donuts, you bring the willingness to joyfully work alongside our church family to make sure the Pumpkin Patch is ready for business! Thank you for helping to make this meaningful ministry happen!

Don't forget that unloading the truck is just the beginning when it comes to the Pumpkin Patch! The grand opening is the very next day, on Sunday September 28 at 11:00 am. Throughout the month of October, CHPC's Pumpkin Patch will be open seven days a week for eight hours a day from 11:00 am to 7:00 pm. Volunteer's are needed to help make this ministry happen and sign up sheets are located in the Narthex. Time slots are available in two hour increments and there are plenty of slots still available. This is a wonderful time to sit and meet new people or to spend time together as a family of faith. Please be sure to sign up now so that we can ensure each day is covered as we connect with our community and welcome them to the church. Thank you for your support!

This Sunday in Worship: September 28, 2025 -

Sixteenth Sunday After Pentecost

In the beginning, God had a dream. Genesis tells that life-giving story and how we struggle to live together into that divine reality. In the beginning, Joseph had a dream too, but quickly it turned into a nightmare of superiority, resentment, harassment, and isolation. Last week, we learned what it means for the Lord to be with Joseph and how that steadfast-love, God's esed, is gracefully shared with us too. Hard times still come our way, but we shall never navigate those struggles alone, because the Lord is with us! This week, we hear of two more dreams and how Joseph interprets them from the darkness of Pharaoh's prison. How is God using us to help others see the light of God's love at work in their lives? How is the Lord strengthening us to speak truth to power, even if it threatens our chances of being remembered? Let us listen and learn this weekend from the dueling visions of the cupbearer and the baker in Joseph's story.

Sunday's Scripture:

Genesis 40:1-23, NRSV

Sermon Title:

"Dreams to Remember"

Don't forget about this Sunday's New Member Class, happening at 11:15 am after worship in the youth room. This friendly gathering is open to all who are interested in joining the church and those who are curious about how to become more active in the life of our church family. Lunch will be provided, so please reach out to David ASAP if you plan to attend.

Parents - A special children's program will be offered at the same time for kids so that adults can better get to know one another before we all break bread together over lunch. All children are invited to stay, sing, listen, and learn during this extra event. Please let Tyler know if your little one will participate.

October Fall First This Coming Wednesday

All are welcome to join us on Wednesday, October 1 for our monthly Fall First! We will meet downstairs in the gym at 5:15 for some much needed mid-week church fellowship. We'll share a meal together, partake in an optional activity, and beyond that, nothing but spend meaningful time together as a family of faith! This month, we'll celebrate the fact that our Pumpkin Patch has returned by painting pumpkins! Please note that this fun, seasonal activity is NOT just for kids but for all God's children of any age! We'll provide the pumpkins from out in the patch, you come prepared to have a delicious meal, paint a gourd, and spend time with marvelous people!

World Communion Sunday Celebration

CHPC celebrates World Communion Sunday on October 5. This Sunday during worship, we will be joining with Christ-followers from around the world in the observance of the sacrament of Communion. We will also be collecting donations for the Special Peace & Global Witness Offering. Learn more about that special offering here. Immediately after worship, please join us in the gym downstairs for a congregational lunch in honor of this blessed Sunday. Home Communion will also be shared with anyone who desires to partake in the Lord's Supper later that afternoon. Please contact David if you, or someone you know, would like to receive the sacrament.

CHPC Youth Group October Update

The return of the Pumpkin Patch means that for the next month, Youth Group will look a little different than normal. Starting this Sunday, we will be meeting out in the Pumpkin Patch from 5-7 pm. We will still have dinner, a bible study, and typically a fun activity or game. Please bring a lawn chair, please plan on helping out in the Patch with selling pumpkins, and please note all of the upcoming events above! Contact Tyler if you are interested in either joining in on this ministry or supporting it in any way! Click Here to sign up to provide a meal for the kids.
