CHR Welcomes New Community Relations Director!

CHR welcomes its newest staff member, Kate Stone Pujol, to the team. Kate grew up on Sanibel Island with her parents Bridgit and Dan Budd. She was very involved in the Island community from a young age: attending community events with her mom, volunteering, and attending the Sanibel School. This adoration for the Island led her to return to Southwest Florida immediately after graduating from Florida State University.

Kate brings her experience in fundraising, networking, philanthropy, and island familiarity to Community Housing and Resources.

Tell Us Something Good!

Tell us something good that happened to YOU. Whether it was reuniting with an old friend after the storm or simply trying a new recipe we want to know! (Also, if you tried a new recipe feel free to share it!).

Affordable housing makes living on Sanibel possible for people that otherwise may not be able to, creates diversity on the island, and most importantly, gives a “hand up” to many deserving people.

CHR is funded through Grants, Residents' rent, and Support & Donations from our generous community.

NEWS at CHR

CHR would like to thank the accomplished heartists who gave their time and creative talents to Community Housing & Resources. These exquisite hearts were on display throughout the community, Sanibel and Captiva islands along with Fort Myers. On February 3, 2024 the hearts were auctioned, silent and live, at the Heart Gala held at the Sanibel Community House.

The Heart Gala is CHR’s largest fund raiser and was a great success! The funds raised allow CHR to continue in its mission to provide affordable workforce and senior housing to individuals who qualify.

There has never been a more critical time in our community for housing.

“Be the reason someone believes in the goodness of people.”

A HUGE Thank you to our Sponsors and Heartists!!!
