Under Direction
of Coach Ro Russell, Staff Has Over 40 Years Combined
Experience

NC - Christian
Faith Center Academy Conquerors National Boy's Basketball Team
has introduced three new coaches to this year's coaching staff.
Under second year leadership of Coach Ro Russell,
who
has developed over 400 Division 1 college players, including
McDonald's All-Americans and AAU National Champions, this year's
staff also includes multi-talented coaches with Division II, Junior
College, High School, and AAU experience.
Players
developed by CFCA's coaching staff include #1 NBA Draft Pick
John Wall, NCSU's CJ
Leslie, Texas' Tristan Thompson and Corey Joseph,
Minnesota's Devoe Joseph, Marquette's Junior Cadougan, and this
year's highly recruited Kevin Thomas, and Xavier
Rathan-Mayes.

enthusiastic about the strength and experience of this year's
coaching staff. Our staff has already been hard at
work and looking forward to a formidable season," says Head Coach
Ro Russell."
Coach Ro
Russell has over 20 years
of coaching experience and comes from a rich Canadian basketball
heritage. Russell started the Grassroots Canada
program to provide Canadian players with proper training, surround
them with the highest level of competition, and obtain exposure
needed to earn college scholarships. In his 20-plus
years of coaching experience, Russell has accumulated astounding
feats, winning over 1000 AAU, 200 high school, and 300 prep school
games. Russell has found success in the US coaching
the first Canadian team to win the 2008 Adidas Super 64
championship in Las Vegas NV. Russell played at Keene
State in Keene, N.H., and Gordon College in Wenham,
Mass.
Joining the staff
this year are Kendrick Williams, Marcellus Morgan,
andKhristopher Williams as assistant
coaches.
Coach Kendrick
Williams has most recently
coached the NC Rising Prospects 11U Basketball team to a second
place finish in the AAU National Championships. Williams also has
served as Head Coach of the Garner Road Bulldogs AAU Team at
various age groups for years in addition to his coaching stint at
Word of God Christian Academy (WOGCA) in Raleigh, NC.
Williams is a graduate of NC State University (1999) with a BA in
Sociology and Psychology.
"Coach Kendrick
will serve as lead in skill development and recruiting on this
year's staff," added Head Coach Ro Russell. We look forward to
being able to utilize Coach Kendrick's many years of AAU
experience.
Coach Marcellus
Morgan comes to CFCA
after serving as an assistant coach at Belmont Abbey, Clinton
Junior College, and South Granville High School in North Carolina.
Coach Morgan is a native of Creedmoor, NC, and had a stellar career
at Greensboro College where he holds several records and was a
Division III All-American. Morgan is a graduate of Greensboro
College (2007) with a BA in History.
"I am very
pleased to add Marcellus on this year's staff, he shows dedication
and commitment to the program", added Russell. Coach Morgan will be
responsible for the strength and conditioning program as well as
player development.
Coach Khristopher
Williams has most recently
served as Associate Head Coach for the Garner Road 17U AAU Elite
team and WOGCA. Prior to WOGCA, Williams spent two
years as a college assistant in the historic CIAA conference at
Shaw University under former Duke great Robert
Brickey. Williams is a graduate of NC State
University (2001) with a BS in Computer Science and the United
States Sports Academy (2008) with a MS in Sports
Management.
"Coach Khris
shows an amazing level of detail, administration and organization,"
says Russell. Coach Khris will be responsible for day-to-day
basketball operations, skill development, as well as other
administrative duties.
Russell and his
staff lead a new group of talent into a national schedule in which
they will compete against powerhouses Findlay Prep and Oak Hill
Academy, amongst other top teams in the country.

Christian
Faith Center
Academy is a non-public, non-denominational, independent, and
non-profit school located in Creedmoor, North Carolina. The academy
was founded in 1989 by Bishop Mack and Pastor Brenda Timberlake.
The purpose that these two innovators had in mind for the academy
was to provide quality education and mold character development for
students from a wide range of diverse backgrounds. The students
that attend the academy come from neighboring counties such as
Franklin, Wake, Durham, Vance and of course, the home of Christian
Faith Center Academy, Granville County. In addition to the
surrounding counties, the academy has enrolled students from
various states and countries including Bosnia, Canada and Nigeria
to name a few.
