Seven students recognized for academics, arts & athletics participation
A special evening of special recognition was the highlight of the Carrollton Board of Education meeting Tuesday, which included honoring seven Carrollton High School seniors who are this year's inductees into a special class of CHS alumni.

1LT Chris Hamil of the local Army National Guard visited students at Carrollton Upper Elementary School to help them have a fun Milestones review. In addition to serving in the Army National Guard, 1LT Hamil is the vice president at Fyzical at Southern Therapy Services, Inc. in Carrollton.
Milestones Review Boot Camp
Skill Sergeants led fourth-graders at Carrollton Upper Elementary School in a Milestones Review Boot Camp where they practiced comprehension and constructing responses. Students had fun learning how to do push-ups, sit-ups, and burpees. Some classes even got a visit from a local Army National Guard.
Carrollton BOE honors CHS debate state champions
The Carrollton Board of Education, at its April monthly meeting, recognized members of the Carrollton High School debate team for securing its 12th state title, second only to boys track as the team with the highest number of titles secured by an individual program. Third grade field trip was a home run
Earlier this week, third graders took a field trip to Truist Park. Students toured the stands, dugout, and press box. They were also able to see the Atlanta Braves' World Series trophy!
CJHS students visit Carver High Exhibit
Honors World History students at Carrollton Junior High School attended the Carver High School exhibit at the Neva Lomason Library. Carolyn Gray, co-founder and curator, led the students through the exhibit. Students learned how challenging it was for African Americans in Carroll County to receive a basic education between the years of emancipation and integration.
CCS Education Foundation partners with Center for the Arts to provide enrichment experience
The Carrollton City Schools Education Foundation partnered with the Carrollton Center for the Arts to provide an enrichment field trip for students at Carrollton Junior High School. All seventh and eighth-grade students had the opportunity to see the Capulli Mexican Dance Company perform in March.
