Advent II: Adonai Sunday
O Lord our God, you gave your law that righteousness might abound: Put it into our hearts to love justice for others as much as we desire it for ourselves, that, as we know you to be our judge, so we may welcome your reign as it is manifested through Jesus Christ our savior; to whom, with you and the Holy Spirit, be dominion and praise for ever and ever. Amen.
Worship with us

Seven week Advent?
In the first century Jesus of Nazareth inspired a movement. A community of people whose lives were centered on Jesus Christ and committed to living the way of God’s unconditional, unselfish, sacrificial, and redemptive love.  For us, Advent is its very own season in the Church Year, not a count-down to Christmas.  Advent is a subversive and counter-cultural conspiracy by the followers of Jesus to focus on the Reign of God/Kingdom of Heaven, because, we are, in fact, members of the Jesus Movement.

Observing Advent
Our young people created Advent wreaths individualized for each family using a variety of supplies and eight candles: one for each week of Advent, and one to celebrate Christmas. Attached is the Nightly Service for Seven-Week Advent that they were given. It outlines a nightly service based on "An Order of Worship for the Evening" found on page 109 of the Book of Common Prayer. The program was created by The Rev. Canon Frank and Victoria Logue.
